The Journey to Peace is my special project, born of my belief that peace is achieved one person at a time and that the most important work any of us can do in the world is to clear ourselves of anger and other past issues and to fill up with compassion. "Journey" students asked for more workshops expanding on some pieces and hence I created "Staying Positive in the Moment" and redesigned a long-time workshop of mine on Right Speech. These are available for churches or other organizations.

The Journey to Peace Available in two formats: 4 hours or a full day
The process of achieving peace on earth begins with each person living with peace in his or her heart. We will explore the seeds of anger within and ways to clear issues from the past that create anger in the present. We will practice techniques such as right speech, affirmations and meditation for focusing in the present and consciously holding a mindset of peace. The final piece is filling with compassion through lovingkindness practice. Peace on earth begins with each one of us; it’s a choice every person makes. Let’s join together in choosing peace.
The Energy of You
Available in two formats: 4 hours or full day
You may think that you're a walking, talking solid physical object, but in fact you are energy. Your spirit, your body, your thoughts, and your emotions are all energy. You have energy channels throughout your body and energy channels that connect you to the Divine. When you understand yourself as an energy system you can use a variety of spiritual practices to unblock, clear, shift or raise your energy. In this workshop you will learn many aspects of your energy and how to balance it, free it, strengthen it, and refine it. Learn how to be all you can be as an energy being whose energy contributes to the web of all life.
Staying Positive in the Moment 4 hours
Are you holding a vision of the life you’d like but finding that your reality falls short? To create the reality you want to live, you have to stay positive and be present in the now, which is not as easy as it sounds. We will explore the beliefs you may hold that pull your focus out of the present and keep you fretting over the past or longing for the future. Then, using some Hawaiian Huna techniques and affirmations, you will learn how to direct your unconscious to hold new beliefs. We will also explore emotional mastery, which helps you control your feelings instead of having them control you. Having worked on freeing your mind from past negativity and recreating a positive vision, you will then practice some meditations that train your mind to stay clear and present.
The Dance of Communication Available in two formats: 4 hours or a full day
With the practice of right speech and right listening, ordinary speech can become a vehicle through which you experience deeper relationships and express your own truth more deeply. In this workshop participants will learn to carry on a structured conversation that leads right speech to become a kind of meditation in speech. You will learn communication skills that help you to take your conversations to ever deeper levels of understanding. These same skills can help you reach agreement in business situations or assist others to sort out a conflict.
Right speech helps you to speak with intention and clarity. With right listening you can guide others to discover their own wisdom and solutions at the same time you learn more about who they are. Together these skills help you to learn to be present in the now and open to new thoughts and possibilities. With practice you will learn to truly connect to others -- talking heart to heart.
