After more than 25 years of consciously traveling a spiritual path (after all, we're always traveling one whether we know it or not...), I am nowhere close to a guru but I have learned enough to feel I have wisdom to share. I have created workshops, designed yoga classes and written some "insights" to the journey. I'm still teaching at Full Circle Massage (in Lexington, KY) but I'm now only teaching private students. In Lexington the Restoring Fluidity and Freedom of Movement Classes will only be taught for CE hours. I've consolidated all class schedules into the class schedule page that has a link at the side of every page so if anything new goes on the schedule it will be there.
A manual for Restoring Fluidity and Freedom of Movement is now available on Kindle. This version was designed as a companion book for my CE classes so it has no photos. A version with photos is in the works for later this year, but I described all the movements really carefully so I think you can learn how to do the triggers without photos. For a short time this manual will be available for free in the Kindle lending library if you have Amazon Prime so try it out soon at no charge!
I've started teaching NCBTMB CE hours classes -- see class schedule for specifics. Upcoming classes combine Kreig's Intro to Bodypatterning with RFFM and will be here in Lexington and also Los Angeles and Corte Madera, CA. My classes are going to be part of Kreig Cremeans' wonderful Bodypatterning work. I'm cutting back on my other classes to concentrate on connecting with Massage Schools and Wellness Centers that offer CE classes. These classes use my work that combines Robert Masters' triggers of release with yoga stretches (Restoring Freedom of Movement). Any suggested connections to places that you think would like to learn this work will be most welcome.
People have been getting great results from the Restoring Fluidity and Freedom of Movement work. Often students have gone to their regular massage therapist or chiropractor after only one or two classes and reported that the practitioner was amazed at the change. I developed it initially for myself after working with Robert Masters' Psychophysical Method and some Feldenkrais and Somatics for years, ultimately creating routines that, combined with yoga, have helped to banish the last vestiges of fibromyalgia and badly hung up muscles. See Private Classes for information on how to learn this work in classes tailored for you.
Be sure to check out my spiritual journey blog called Notes from the Bluegrass. I hope to start some interesting conversations there, so if you're interested, please check it out and leave your comments.
I believe that peace begins in the heart of the individual. Everything you see in the world that seems to conflict with peace comes from something inside you that conflicts with peace. The journey is, at its core, about healing those conflicts and opening to your divine self. It's the most important contribution you can make to the world. Travel in joy!
